CUTTING &GRINDING WHEELS
When determining the characteristics of a grinding wheel, the type of material to be machined, its hardness and shape should be taken into account:
-electrocorundum ordinary for grinding and cutting steel and its alloys
-electrocorundum for grinding and cutting stainless steel and its alloys as well as soft steels
-silicon carbide for grinding and cutting of cast iron, non-ferrous metals, stone and building ceramics
-fine grit for hard and brittle materials
-coarse grinding wheels for soft and plastic materials
-hard grinding wheels for soft materials, for cutting thin-walled steel profiles and sheets
-soft wheels for hard materials, for cutting of rails and profiles with full cross-section
Color markings:
blue color - discs for cutting and grinding steel and its alloys,
green color - discs for cutting and grinding stone, building ceramics, cast iron and non-ferrous metals
orange color - discs for cutting and grinding stainless steel and its alloys as well as soft steels.
